Meaning Behind KaiNiu
Pronounced {kye nee oo}. In Hawaiian, Kai means sea, embodying the serene yet powerful nature of the ocean. Many cultural interpretations of the name Kai add to its rich tapestry, making it a name that resonates with a sense of nature, sustenance, and historical depth.
Niu means coconut, representing something nourishing, versatile, and naturally durable. We bring these two powerful words together to represent our brand, bridging the gap in the industry and encouraging togetherness between people, pets, and our planet.
Our story began when three friends joined forces, united by our love for Hawaii, pets, and the outdoors. With diverse backgrounds in tourism, pet toys, engineering, and the military, we created innovative, versatile, and durable products.
Our owner, a Marine Corps veteran and engineer, Cynthia Mason, inspired us to use resilient materials from ballistic and tactical gear.
KaiNiu is proudly owned by Cynergy Professional Systems, founded in 2009 by Cynthia Mason.
